What is counselling?
Counselling is a type of talking therapy with a trained, impartial professional.
Many people seek talking therapy when facing challenges such as anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or unresolved trauma.
I am a qualified counsellor and can help you explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and current challenges in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental way
How much do your services cost?
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so you can get a feel for how I work and whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you. There’s no pressure to move forward after this call, just a chance to talk through what’s going on for you and ask any questions.
If we decide to work together, each session, whether online or in person, costs £60. A session lasts 50 minutes.
Payment is by cash or bank transfer, on, or before the day of the session.
What can counselling help with?
People come to counselling for many reasons, at all ages and stages of their lives.
You might be feeling anxious or low, struggling with relationships, working through loss or trauma, or just feeling disconnected from yourself, like you’ve lost sight of who you are or how to move forward.
You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. Sometimes, simply having space to talk and really be heard can help you feel more like yourself again.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What we talk about is kept private. The only exceptions are rare situations where there’s a serious risk of harm or a legal obligation to share something, but if that ever came up, I’d always aim to talk it through with you first. Trust and safety are part of the ethical framework in which I work.
I am an accredited member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and I am guided by their code of ethics. Confidentiality, trust and safety are part of the ethical framework in which I work.
Ending Counselling:
Ending counselling is an important part of the process, and I want it to feel right for you. When you feel ready, let me know so we can review your progress and talk through any final thoughts. If possible, having a final session helps us reflect on your journey and plan ways to support yourself going forward. Some people choose to return for occasional check-ins, and you’re always welcome to reach out again in the future.
