Online Sessions

What happens in a session?

I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to help you decide if my approach to counselling is right for you.

It’s a relaxed, no obligation chat where you can tell me a bit about what’s brought you here. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll go from there and arrange our first session.

There’s no set script. You are the expert in your own life so sessions are shaped by what feels most important for you to explore. You may want to talk about past experiences, current struggles, or things you’ve never said out loud before.

The first session often focuses on understanding what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain from it.

Whatever you want to explore I will be alongside you - listening closely, helping you make sense of things, and creating space for understanding and growth.

If you prefer, I offer online counselling sessions through secure Google Meet video calls. This option allows you to access support from the comfort of your own space. (See FAQ about online counselling)

What You’ll Need: A reliable internet connection, a laptop or computer with a camera and microphone. Lastly, you need a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable talking openly.

Each session, whether online or in person costs £60.

A session lasts 50 minutes.

Payment is by cash or bank transfer, on, or before the day of the session.

How many sessions?

There’s no fixed number, it really depends on what you want to explore and what you’re hoping for.

Some people find a few sessions helpful for something specific; others prefer to work longer term to explore aspects of their life more deeply or for ongoing support.

Either way I will check in regularly to see how things are feeling and whether what we are doing is still supporting you in the way you need.

In-Person Sessions

I offer face-to-face counselling in quiet, comfortable rooms at two locations:

Therapy Rooms at Hoyland House in the Cotswold village of Painswick and Kingsley House near Cheltenham.

Both venues are easily accessible from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, and the M5. They are on convenient bus routes, both have free parking, and Painswick Therapy Rooms also have ramp access.
